HARLAN — North Laurel refused to go away after dropping the first two sets, battling all the way back to complete a dramatic reverse sweep and defeat Harlan County, 3-2.
Facing a two-set deficit, the Lady Jaguars responded by winning three consecutive sets to complete the comeback and earn the five-set victory.
North Laurel coach Angela Singleton praised her team for continuing to fight despite facing adversity throughout the match.
“These girls brought the fight tonight. We had some adversity to overcome tonight, and it took us a minute to gel in different places, but these girls never gave up!” Singleton said. “They were moving and playing as the team we know they are, and I know if they continue to work as hard as they have been, tonight was just the start. Go Jags.”
