Partin drives in eight runs in to lead Lynn Camp past Williamsburg

CORBIN — Lynn Camp senior Lauren Partin turned in a career-best eight RBI during senior night, leading the Lady Wildcats to a 16-11 win over Williamsburg.

Partin connected with a home run, three doubles, went 4-for-5, and also scored three runs as Lynn Camp improved to 9-19.

Julie Moore also had a huge game at the plate, going 4-for-5 while driving in two runs and scoring once. Emma Burnette connected with a homer, and finished with two hits, two RBI, and a run scored while Bella Gambel had two hits and scored twice.

“This was a total effort, from the starters and to the dugout, this was a team win,” Lynn Camp coach Nikki Hendrix said. “Everyone got on base and scored a run. We struggled in the first inning, had errors and was nervous because of Senior Night. Emma Burnette got us started with a two-run home run. Lauren Partin and Julie Moore also had big nights at the plate. Lauren ended up with eight RBI. Lily Henize had a great night behind the plate and got the last out at home to end the game. I’m proud of how hard they fought and didn’t quit.”
