Lady Wildcats sweep doubleheader with Owsley County

CORBIN — Nikki Hendrix’s Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats picked up two big wins (25-13, and 15-0) on Friday, sweeping both games of a doubleheader against visiting Owsley County.

“The first game we fell behind but once we got the pitcher’s timing down, we were able to scatter several hits,” Hendrix said. “We had 27 hits total and everyone on the team had a hit Emma and Bailey collected  four RBI each. Julie came in relief to win the game.

“The second game Julie was in her groove and was able to throw a perfect game,” she added. “Her defense played well and had no errors and four strikeouts. Everyone reached base and contributed to this win. Bella had four RBI and Julie was also hot at the plate, going 3-for-3 and had three RBI. Both games were a team effort. They played for each other and didn’t quit and were able to walk away with two wins.”
