CORBIN — Lynn Camp snapped a four-game losing skid and picked up its third win of the season with a convincing 70-35 victory over Trinity Christian.
The Wildcats set the tone early, knocking down four 3-pointers in the opening quarter as Landen Rose scored eight points and Conner Mabe added six to fuel a 24-2 first-quarter advantage. Lynn Camp never looked back, controlling the game on both ends the rest of the way.
Rose led the Wildcats with 21 points, including three 3-pointers, while Mabe finished with 17 points. Elijah Mayo also reached double figures with 11 points in the win.
“Tonight they played exactly the way we’ve practiced all season,” Lynn Camp coach Marcus McKeehan said. “We spent a lot of time making sure that each player understood their role within the team and that made a huge difference. We were 11-of-14 from the free throw-line which is something we’ve been working on.
“Caleb Woods is back from an injury that he’s been dealing with on and off all season,” McKeehan added. “He is our team leader and just a solid all around player. I can’t say enough about all these kids. We had lots of kids come off the bench tonight and they all played incredibly well. We’re really proud of all our kids tonight.”
