CORBIN — Bentley Hoskins and Eli Skeen each found the back of the net as Corbin battled back from an early deficit before falling to Pulaski County, 4-2.
The Redhounds found themselves trailing early but responded with goals from Hoskins and Skeen to work their way back into the match.
Pulaski County answered with a free-kick goal to send the teams into halftime tied.
The back-and-forth battle continued during the second half before Pulaski County took the lead on a penalty kick and eventually pulled away for the two-goal victory.
“Really proud of the effort tonight against one of the best teams in the area,” Corbin coach Roger Taylor said. “After going down early, we battled back with goals by Bentley Hoskins and Eli Skeen. An excellent Pulaski Co. free kick tied it up before halftime.
“It was very back and forth before a questionable penalty was called,” he added. “My guys showed a lot of heart and fight tonight. We need to keep fighting frustration when things don’t go our way, and we will keep improving and winning.”
