BEREA — In a game that had just about everything a softball fan could ask for, Berea delivered the final blow.
Despite a big night offensively from Lynn Camp, the Lady Wildcats (8-17) fell just short in a wild back-and-forth contest, dropping a 15-14 decision Monday.
Lynn Camp piled up 14 runs on just eight hits, taking advantage of patience at the plate with 16 walks, but couldn’t hold off a late push from the Lady Pirates, who answered with 15 runs on 14 hits.
Lauren Partin scored four runs and reached base multiple times for the Lady Wildcats while Julie Moore added three runs and two RBIs. Lorelai Prewitt delivered the biggest performance at the plate, driving in six runs while collecting two hits, and Bella Gambell chipped in a run, RBI, and three walks.
