CORBIN — After nearly a decade leading the Corbin Lady Redhounds girls’ basketball program, head coach Isaac Wilson has stepped down from his position following nine seasons on the sidelines.
Wilson closes his tenure with a 156–110 record, guiding the Lady Redhounds through one of the most successful stretches in program history while helping elevate Corbin into a consistent contender in the 13th Region.
During his time as head coach, Wilson led Corbin to several significant accomplishments, including two WYMT Mountain Classic championships and back-to-back 50th District titles in 2023 and 2024. One of the program’s signature moments came in 2022 when the Lady Redhounds captured the 13th Region championship, earning a trip to the state tournament.
As he steps away from the program, Wilson expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the Lady Redhounds and appreciation for the support he received throughout his time at Corbin.
“I wish nothing but continued success for Corbin schools, and the community,” Wilson said. “You’ll always hold a special place in my heart. Stealing some from words from the athletes of today — Isaac Wilson, No. 10, out.”
