Davidson named 13th Region Player of the Year; Swords earns Coach of the Year honors

The 13th Region Boys Basketball Coaches Association has announced its 2025-26 regular season awards, and the top honors went to Reece Davidson and Eric Swords.

Davidson, a senior standout at North Laurel High School, was voted the 13th Region Player of the Year after a dominant campaign so far that showcased his scoring, leadership, and ability to impact winning in every phase of the game. Night after night, Davidson proves to be one of the most complete players in the region.

On the sideline, Swords of Whitley County High School earned 13th Region Coach of the Year honors. Swords has guided the Colonels through a strong regular season, building a disciplined, physical team that has consistently competed with the region’s best.

• Kaiden McQueen — South Laurel

• Jordan Rawlings — North Laurel

• Evan Taylor — Knox Central High School

• Hayden Melton — Knox Central

• Tommy Branstutter — Oneida Baptist Institute

All-Region Senior Academic Team (3.5 GPA or higher)
