MANCHESTER — North Laurel turned in a strong all-around performance Thursday, sweeping Oneida Baptist in a 49th District volleyball matchup.
The Lady Jaguars controlled the match from the opening set, cruising to a 25-10 victory before taking the second set, 25-15.
North Laurel continued its strong play in the third, finishing off the district victory with a 25-18 win to complete the 3-0 sweep.
The match also gave the Lady Jaguars an opportunity to try some different things on the court while putting into action what they had worked on during practice.
“Proud of our girls to come out and get a district win tonight,” North Laurel coach Angela Singleton said. “We got to try some new things tonight. The girls worked really hard and played great as a team tonight. The things we worked on in practice paid off tonight. I’m proud of them. Go Jags.”
