Jaguars continue to roll, hand Oneida Baptist, 97-31 loss 

LONDON — Nate Valentine’s North Laurel’s captured its Jaguars remain red-hot after handing Oneida Baptist a 97-31 loss on Tuesday.

It marked the third time during their past three games, the Jaguars have tallied at least 90 points.

North Laurel has now won seven games in a row while improving to 15-5 overall and 4-0 against 49th District opponents.

“We got off to a great start tonight at home,” Valentine said. “I thought we played hard on defensive end. We really shared the ball and made the extra pass. We have two district games this week and we need to be ready to go.”

The Jaguars opened the game with a 33-5 run and never looked back as Reece Davidson led the way with 17 points. Kaiden Allen hit two 3-pointers and finished with 12 points while Corey Cunagin and Cooper Elza added 11 points apiece. Cam Anderson hit three 3-pointers and scored nine points while Brayden Hampton scored seven points. Trey Smith and RJ Noble chipped in six points apiece while Ryder Davidson, Jordan Rawlings and Evan Zarate added five points apiece. Trendon Dykes scored three points.

Tommy Branstutter led the Mountaineers with 12 points while Aden Gregory finished with 11 points. Oneida Baptist is now 6-9 overall, and 0-3 against district opponents.
