Cardinals capture win No. 10 after 79-12 victory over Williamsburg 

LONDON — Twelve players scored in South Laurel’s 79-12 50th District win over Williamsburg on Tuesday.

The Cardinals led 33-0 at the end of the first quarter, and 58-6 at halftime before wrapping up the 67-point victory.

Jeff Davis’ squad is now 10-8 overall, and 2-1 against 50th District opponents while the Yellow Jackets fall to 1-17 and 0-3.

“Good to get a district win,” Davis said. “We just have to keep battling and grinding. We have big game Thursday and a Huge week next week. We will keep working and try to get better each day.”

Kaden Taylor hit four 3s, and scored 12 points for South Laurel while Brayden Layman also scored 12 points. Brayden Cassidy and Blaine Baker both chipped in nine points apiece while Brendan Murphy and Landon Howard scored eight points apiece.

Layne Jeffries led Williamsburg with five points.
