Eight-run third inning does in North Laurel during 13-1 loss 

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — North Laurel’s record dropped to 4-5 after falling to Strongsville, 13-1, on Tuesday.

The Jaguars struggled at the plate and on the mound, delivering only two hits while allowing 12.

Strongsville took a 4-1 lead after the first inning and used an eight-run third inning, putting the game out of reach. 

Cooper Elza connected with a home run in the loss while finishing with an RBI and a run scored. Jude McWhorter delivered North Laurel’s other hit.

Tanner Houchens took the loss, lasting 2.2 innings while allowing 11 hits and 11 earned runs. Ethan Anderson pitched 1.1 innings, giving up a hit and no runs.
