OWENSBORO — Corbin’s Makena Myatt is bringing a state championship back to the 13th Region.
Myatt turned in an impressive round of 72 at Owensboro Country Club to capture the 2026 KHSAA 2A Girls Golf State Championship, putting together a championship performance on one of the biggest stages of the season.
With a state title on the line, Myatt delivered when it mattered most. Her 72 was good enough to put her atop the field and secure the individual state championship for Corbin.
The victory adds another major accomplishment to Myatt’s high school golf career while giving the Lady Redhounds a state champion to celebrate.
