WILLIAMSBURG — Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds picked up a much-needed win on Tuesday thanks to a 19-4 victory over 50th District foe Williamsburg.
The win improved the Lady Redhounds to 6-17 overall, and 3-2 in district play while the Lady Yellow Jackets are now 5-14, and 0-5.
Corbin finished with 15 hits as Lydia King, and Sawyer Stamper both delivered home runs.
King led the way with two hits, two runs scored, and five RBI while Stamper and Landry Gentry delivered two hits and two RBI apiece. Olivia Hatfield drove in two runs while Izzy Walker collected two hits, and RBI, and scored twice. Mikaila Hopkins finished with a hit, two RBI, and four runs scored while Kaili Sanders had a hit, and an RBI.
Stamper notched the win in the pitcher’s circle, lasting three innings while striking out seven batters.
