LONDON — The North Laurel Jaguars used a strong second half to pull away from Pulaski County and earn an 83-65 victory Friday.
After a tight first quarter, North Laurel took control in the second period behind a balanced scoring attack and never looked back.
The Jaguars led 40-30 at halftime and continued to build their lead by outscoring the Maroons 43-35 over the final two quarters.
Reece Davidson led the way for North Laurel with a game-high 30 points, finishing 13-of-21 from the floor and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. He also added eight rebounds and three assists.
Kaiden Allen followed with 16 points, while Corey Cunagin chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Rawlings added 12 points and four assists, and Cooper Elza finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
North Laurel shot 55.8 percent from the field and knocked down nine 3-pointers in the win. The Jaguars also controlled the glass, outrebounding Pulaski County 33-21.
Pulaski County was led by Turner Asher with 18 points and Easton Anderson with 1 points, but the Maroons struggled to keep pace with North Laurel’s offensive efficiency in the second half.
North Laurel outscored Pulaski County 23-16 in the second quarter and 22-17 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
