LONDON — North Laurel continues to impress, sweeping Clay County in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16, 25-23. The victory improved the Lady Jaguars to 7-12 while the Lady Tigers slipped to 11-17.
Coach Laura Culver praised her team’s energy and focus after the win.
“We’re happy to be closing out our regular season with some district wins, Jackson County last Tuesday and Clay County tonight,” she said. “We had a great crowd for Senior Night and our team showed up ready to play. Shoutout to our student section for the energy they brought tonight and to my girls who hustled and never let up. We really wanted to keep it to three sets this time, and our girls did just that! I’m proud of them and I look forward to postseason play.”
