The Sorrow Continues

By Alex Elderidge

You thought it couldn’t get any worse after Minnesota?

WRONG.

The Bengals embarrassed themselves again last week, this time in front of the entire country on national TV, falling 28-3 to the Broncos.

That’s not just a loss — that’s a meltdown.

Back-to-back weeks, this “contender” has been outscored 76-13. From 2-0 to 2-2 in the blink of an eye.

And let’s be honest: this offense is a joke right now. Two receivers making generational money, a running back who can carry the load, and somehow Zac Taylor’s play calls have turned this thing into pure sadness.

Everyone wants to throw out the “oh well, Browning’s a backup” line.

Save it.

Browning proved two years ago he could win games when Burrow went down. He’s not the problem. The problem is this team is wasting talent and hiding behind excuses.

The defense?

Yeah, they’re not blameless.

But what do you expect when they’re constantly starting with their backs against their own end zone? You can only bend so much before you break.

And now, just for fun, one of the best offenses and defenses in football are coming to town.

Can’t wait to hear the excuse train roll through again.

The Bengals have officially become a $400-million excuse factory. And unless something changes immediately, that’s all they’ll be remembered for this season — excuses.
