JACKSON — Lynn Camp came close of snapping its three-game losing skid but came up short against Jackson City by dropping a 60-50 decision.
The Wildcats (4-19) hung tough, trailing 42-35 entering the fourth quarter but was outscored, 18-15, in the final eight minutes.
Dinky Phipps’ squad dung itself a hole in the first quarter, falling behind 23-12 despite four points from Kayden Powers and three points apiece from Ethen Chafin and Caleb Woods.
Lynn Camp fought back in the second quarter, cutting its deficit to 30-22 at halftime behind 3-pointers from Eisen Mayo and Caleb Woods.
The Wildcats outscored Jackson City, 13-12, in the third quarter. Jared King hit a basket and knocked down two free throws while Caleb Wilburn scored four points, cutting his team’s deficit to seven points (42-35) entering the fourth quarter.
King led Lynn Camp with 12 points while Chafin finished with 10 points, and Mayo scored eight points.
