CORBIN — Corbin turned in a dominant offensive performance, rolling past Barbourville 8-0 in boys soccer action.
Bentley Hoskins led the Redhounds with a hat trick, scoring three of Corbin’s eight goals. Hayden Phipps and Sebastian Witherington each added two goals, while Jeremiah Prewitt also found the back of the net.
The Redhounds used the match to continue sharpening their attack and ball movement as postseason play draws closer.
“We were able to continue to work on our attack and moving the ball quickly, resulting in some nice goals,” Corbin coach Roger Taylor said.
Corbin will have a quick turnaround with a tougher test awaiting the Redhounds in Richmond.
“On to a tough match tomorrow in Richmond,” Taylor said.
