LONDON — North Laurel picked up an important district victory, sweeping Jackson County 3-0 in volleyball action.
The Lady Jaguars (14-10) turned in a strong team performance as they continue experimenting with different combinations and approaches late in the season.
“Picked up a very important district win tonight,” North Laurel coach Angela Singleton said. “Proud of our girls as they continue to fight and trust the process with doing some different things later in the season.”
Singleton said the depth and talent on North Laurel’s roster gives the Lady Jaguars several options as they continue preparing for the stretch run.
“These girls have a lot of talent on this roster and it allows us to have quite a few options to try,” Singleton said. “Tonight they trusted us, and continued to play team-first volleyball and have their teammates’ back.”
North Laurel will have a quick turnaround as it gets ready to return to the court at home tomorrow against Clay County.
“Back at it tomorrow. Go Jags,” Singleton said.
