PINEVILLE — After dropping a 42-7 decision last week against North Laurel, Perry Central entered Friday’s matchup with Bell County as heavy underdogs.
The Commodores entered the game with an 0-9 all-time record against Dudley Hilton’s squad, including a four straight losses on Log Mountain.
But that didn’t seem to bother the Commodores.
They led from beginning to end, and surprised the Bobcats with a 35-20 win.
Perry Central (1-1) built leads of 14-0 and 28-8 in front of a stunned crown before pulling off the 15-point win over Bell County (1-1).
