CORBIN — Freshman Abbie Mott came up clutch, delivering the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh to give Corbin a 3-2 win over Pineville.
The Lady Redhounds (12–18) were limited to only three hits, but made all of them count.
Mott finished with a hit, an RBI, and run scored while Mikaila Hopkins, and Lydia King also added hits. King and Macie Santos also finished with a run scored apiece.
Apple Terrell notched the win, limiting the Lady Mountain Lions to four hits while allowing two earned runs, and striking out five batters.
Pineville’s Rachel Howard took the loss, despite allowing no earned runs and striking out 12 batters.
