HAZARD — Emma Carl homered, doubled and drove in two runs Tuesday, but Hazard used a six-run third inning to rally past North Laurel for a 12-10 victory.
Carl finished 3-for-5, and Katie Sams added a home run, double and two RBI for the Lady Jaguars. Lucy Jo Linville also homered and drove in two runs while Tessa Monhollen collected three hits and two RBI in the loss.
North Laurel scored four runs in the first inning and built an 8-4 lead after three innings before Hazard answered with six runs in the bottom of the third inning to take control.
Presley Griffin added two hits and an RBI for the Lady Jaguars, who delivered 14 hits in the loss.
Tessa Monhollen tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts in relief for North Laurel.
The Lady Jaguars have now dropped three consecutive games for the first time this season and fell to 26-5 overall.
