WILLIAMSBURG — After starting the season with a 6-6 mark, the Whitley County Lady Colonels have dropped eight straight after losing to Southwestern at home Friday, 17-1.
Whitley County fell behind 11-0 in the first inning, and 13-0 after two innings before the Lady Warriors added four more runs in the third inning.
The Lady Colonels scored their lone run in the bottom of the third.
Mia Prewitt delivered the Lady Colonels’ lone hit while Megan McKiddy took the loss. She pitched all three innings, allowing 11 hits and four earned runs. She also struck out a batter.
Whitley County committed six errors, leading to 13 unearned runs.
