Jaguars keep rolling, capture seventh win in a row

LONDON — North Laurel remained red-hot on Tuesday, capturing its seventh win in a row while slipping past Clay County with a 6-5 win.

The Jaguars (12-7) built a 4-1 lead after two innings, and added insurance runs in the fifth inning to secure the win.

“Cooper Elza and Ashton Napier pitched tonight with Elza picking up the win and Napier the save,” North Laurel coach Darren McWhorter said. “Bradyn Evans had two hits tonight to lead the team, and Cam Smith had a hit and two RBI, and Eli Holt had a hit and two RBI as well. Anytime you get a district win we will take it.”
