BARBOURVILLE — Barbourville had no answer for Bell County’s bats on Tuesday.
The Lady Bobcats (9-4) scored early and often, defeating the Lady Tigers, 19-0.
Bell County jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and added another run in the second inning to take a 4-0 edge. The Lady Bobcats scored four more runs in the third inning before pushing across another run in the fourth inning. They put the game away with a 10-run fifth inning.
Adyson Scott led Bell County with four RBI while also collecting a hit. Jayda Boateng went 3-for-4 with three RBI, and three runs scored while stealing two bases. Kenley Foster had three hits, two RBI, and two runs scored while Raeghan Moyers was 3-for-3 with three RBI, and two runs scored. Amillya Smith and Jaelyn Reeder also drove in a run apiece while Addison Maiden had two hits, two RBI, two stolen bases and a run scored.
Scott recorded the win, tossing five innings while allowing four hits and striking out 13 batters.
Aubrey Richardson, Lindsey Thomas, Joselyn Grubb, and Makenna Stewart each had a hit apiece for the Lady Tigers (1-11).
