Corbin falls at home, drops 16-1 loss to Madison Central

CORBIN — Madison Central jumped on Corbin early and never let up, handing the Lady Redhounds a 16-1 loss on Thursday.

The Lady Indians scored two runs in the first and second innings before blowing the game open with a seven-run third, putting Corbin (4-13) in an early hole the Lady Redhounds couldn’t climb out of.

Corbin was limited to just two hits during the game.

Macie Santos accounted for one of those hits and scored the Lady Redhounds’ lone run while Lydia King added the other hit.

In the circle, Apple Terrell got the start, working 2.2 innings, allowing nine hits and 11 runs (three earned) while striking out one.

Sawyer Stamper came on in relief, tossing 2.1 innings, giving up five runs on seven hits.
