MCKEE — Baylee Berry put together a dominant performance at the plate Friday, going 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead Jackson County to a 14-1 win over Model.
Berry set the tone at the plate, and was one of several Lady Generals to deliver big efforts as Jackson County (7-2) racked up 14 hits and broke the game open with a 12-run fourth inning.
After pushing across single runs in the second and third, Jackson County exploded in the fourth, stringing together hits up and down the lineup to turn a close game into a runaway.
Lexi Brockman added two hits and two RBI while Kylie Moore drove in two runs of her own. Ella Sallee and Tilly Truett each collected two hits, and Macy Wathen contributed a key two-RBI effort.
Truett delivered a solid performance and got the win, allowing just one run on five hits over five innings while keeping Model from gaining any momentum.
