LEXINGTON — Chris Edwards’ North Laurel Lady Jaguars saw their two-game win streak get snapped after dropping a 7-6 decision to Frederick Douglass in Thursday.
The Lady Jaguars (10-2) fell behind 6-1 after three innings before tying the game at six
apiece with a five-run fourth inning.
North Laurel surrendered a run in the bottom of the fourth, and couldn’t push across anymore runs.
Katie Sams led the Lady Jaguars with two hits, and four RBI while Presley Griffin connected with another home run. Bella Finley finished with two hits, and an RBI at the plate.
Tessa Monhollen took the loss, allowing six hits, and three earned runs while striking out eight batters.
