Lady Redhounds split a pair of games, get back to winning ways 

Corbin managed to snap an eight-game losing skid thanks to a 11-1 victory over Portsmouth West.

The Lady Redhounds played two games on Friday with their other game resulting in a 10-1 setback to Hendersonville.

Corbin’s record now stands at 2-8.

Game One

Hendersonville 10, Corbin 1

The Lady Redhounds fell behind 10-0 before scoring their lone run of the game against Hendersonville, eventually losing, 10-1.

Corbin managed to finish with five hits but committed two errors leading to three unearned runs.

Lydia King led the way at the plate with two hits while Kaili Sanders finished with a hit, and an RBI. 

Apple Terrell took the loss in the pitcher’s circle, lasting 4.1 innings while allowing five hits and two earned runs. She finished with three strikeouts.

Game Two

Corbin 11, Portsmouth West 1

The Lady Redhounds took advantage of Sox errors that led to four unearned runs while pitcher Macie Santos dominated in the pitcher’s circle during Corbin’s 11-1 win over Portsmouth West.

Santos tossed six innings, allowing six hits and no earned runs while striking out seven batters.

Kaili Sanders and Cami Price both finished with two hits, and two RBI while Mikaila Hopkins led the way with three hits, and an RBI. Apple Terrell drove in two runs and finished with a hit while Santos and Lydia King both finished she’s with two hits apiece.
