Evans strong in circle, but North Laurel falls to Pittsford Sutherland, 4-2

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Braydyn Evans delivered a strong performance on the mound, but North Laurel couldn’t get enough offense in a 4-2 loss to Pittsford Sutherland on Wednesday.

Evans struck out 10 batters over five innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run, but Pittsford Sutherland capitalized on early opportunities to build a lead the Jaguars couldn’t overcome.

North Laurel (3-5) was limited to five hits during the game with Cam Smith and Cam Hinkle each collecting a hit while Eli Holt drove in both runs for the Jaguars with a hit. Colton Stewart added a double and one run scored.

Pittsford Sutherland scored two runs in the second inning and added two more in the third to take a 4-0 lead before North Laurel answered with a pair of runs in the fifth.
