Lady Redhounds’ struggles continues, fall to 1-7 

Crystal Stidham’s Corbin Lady Redhounds’ struggles continues in Wednesday after dropping games to Morris, 10-0, and Brunswick (13-3).

The Lady Redhounds are now 1-7 and have lost seven in a row since opening the season with a 19-6 win over Middlesboro.

Game One

Morris 10, Corbin 0

The Lady Redhounds fell behind 8-0 after three innings of play, and never recovered, losing to Morris, 10-0.

Corbin managed only one hit in the loss — a single by Macie Santos.

Apple Terrell took the loss in the pitcher’s circle, allowing 10 hits, and five earned runs. The Lady Redhounds committed four errors that led to five unearned runs.

Game Two

Brunswick 13, Corbin 3

The Lady Redhounds were in a scoreless tie entering the fourth inning before Brunswick 13 runs during the next six innings en route to an easy 13-2 win.

Corbin scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh but couldn’t get any closer.

Lydia King led the Lady Redhounds at the plate with two hits and an RBI while Sawyer Stamper also had a run-scoring hit. Cami Price, Kaili Sanders, Chloe Bays, and Makenna Wilson added a hit apiece. 

Macie Santos suffered the loss, pitching a complete game while allowing 12 hits and nine earned runs. She struck out five batters.

Defensively, Corbin made four errors leading to four unearned runs.
