WHITLEY COUNTY — Lake Park High School erupted for 16 runs through five innings, handing Whitley County a 16-0 loss in a game that was halted after the fifth inning on Wednesday.
Lake Park jumped on the Lady Colonels (2-5) early, scoring six runs in the first inning and never letting up, adding runs in each of the next four innings.
Whitley County was limited to just one hit, which came from Katelyn Shepherd.
Megan McKiddy started in the circle, working three innings while Hallie Huddleston added two innings in relief.
