North Laurel outlasts Ohio County, 10-7

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — North Laurel used a balanced offensive attack at the plate, and a strong effort in the pitcher’s circle from Emma Carl to hold off Ohio County for a 10-7 victory on Monday.

The Lady Jaguars (7-0) finished with 10 runs on 13 hits and had production up and down the lineup in the win.

Tessa Monhollen led the way offensively, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs, while Lucy Jo Linville added three hits and an RBI. Bella Finley chipped in with two hits and two RBIs, and Katie Sams drove in a run and finished with a hit and a run scored. 

Presley Griffin added a home run to provide another big swing for the Lady Jaguars while Carl collected two hits and scored twice.

Carl earned the win in the circle, going all seven innings while striking out nine. She also helped her own cause at the plate, finishing with two hits, two runs scored, and a pair of doubles.
