Boggs’ perfect day fuels Harlan County blowout

BARBOURVILLE — Colston Boggs delivered a monster performance at the plate Saturday, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBI to lead Harlan County to a dominant 17-0 win over Barbourville.

The Black Bears (2-1) have now won two straight and wasted no time taking control, erupting for six runs in the first inning and never looking back.

Harlan County piled up 17 runs on 15 hits while drawing 10 walks in a relentless offensive showing.

Boggs set the tone, while Brennan Blevins added a big day with two hits and two RBI. Kayden Hensley also came through with a triple and three RBI, and Carson Clark chipped in with two hits and an RBI.

Zayden Casolari added two runs and an RBI while Kayden Adams contributed an RBI as the Black Bears had production up and down the lineup.

On the mound, Logan Mills was dominant, tossing three no-hit innings with five strikeouts to earn the win. Aiden Lewis followed with a clean inning, striking out three to complete the combined shutout.
