PINEVILLE — Brad Sizemore’s Bell County Bobcats took home an easy 86-52 win over Middlesboro during Monday’s semifinal action of the 52nd District Boys’ Basketball Tournament.
The win secured Bell County a berth in next week week’s 13th Region Boys’ Basketball Tournament.
“Really proud of our guys tonight,” Sizemore said. “We came out from the tip and played with a lot of confidence on both ends of the floor. Our defensive pressure was good, we hit the boards hard and was hitting our outside shots. I also thought we looked good keeping the ball moving on offense and found the open man. The first game of the tournament is always a little nerve racking but our guys looked really poised throughout the game. We are super excited to play for the district championship on Friday.”
