“It was great to end our regular season with a win,” Whitley County coach Ronnie Collier said. “Casey County is a tough matchup for us to guard, and they shot the ball really well tonight. Our girls stepped up and made plays when it mattered. Maddy had a big game tonight with 23 points and 13 rebounds. She also scored our 2,000 points tonight, which is a huge accomplishment. Cristen Siler also had a career high and her first double-double. She had 16 points and 10 rebounds. I’m really proud every girl who stepped on the floor tonight on how they competed. We have to get prepared for our district game starting tomorrow. Go Colonels.”
The Lady Colonels will be back in action Monday during semifinal action of the 50th District Tournament at Corbin High School.
Whitley County will face-off against Corbin at 7:30 p.m.
