PINEVILLE — Brad Sizemore’s Bell County Bobcats showed why they’re ranked No. 1 in the 13th Region by recording a convincing 64-39 win over South Laurel on Thursday.
The win marked the Bobcats’ fourth win over the Cardinals during the two teams’ 24 meetings
Bell County is now 23-5 overall and 13-0 against regional opponents while South Laurel falls to 14-14, and 6-7 against regional opponents
Blake Burnett and Ethan Buell led the Bobcats in scoring with 21 points apiece.
“We had another great win against a solid team,” Sizemore said. “South Laurel came and played really hard and I was proud to see our guys match their intensity. It is always nice to get a win against team like south and it makes even sweeter to do on senior night. Cayden (Huff) and Blake have been a huge part of our success over the last several years and happy the guys send them out in style tonight.”
Kaiden McQueen led South Laurel with 15 points while Brayden Cassidy finished with seven points.
