Lady Redhounds finish regular season strong with win over Bell County

CORBIN — Isaac Wilson’s Corbin Lady Redhounds closed out regular season play with a huge 62-49 win over Bell County on Thursday.

Lydia King turned in a team-best 20-point scoring effort while Aubree Clemens scored 10 points in the win.

Corbin is now 15-10 while riding a three-game win streak. The loss drops the Lady Bobcats to 20-7.

Kairi Lamb led Bell County with 21 points while Nevaeh Allen added 18 points and Brylee Redmond finished with five points.

“Proud of my group tonight and the composure that they showed especially in the second half,” Wilson said. “Bell is a solid basketball team who has had a great year and won a lot of games. That develops a winning mentality and is often hard to beat.

“I thought that our group came out with a better energy in the second half and was able to get a little bit of a lead that we were able to keep,” he added. “We are at our best when we play as a group and I feel tonight was a total group effort in earning the win. As I told the team tonight, our record is now 0–0 and it is time to get ready and prepare for postseason basketball. I’m looking very forward to competing with this group in the 50th District tournament next week. Go Hounds.”
