WINCHESTER — Just a week ago, Nate Valentine’s North Laurel Jaguars were the hottest team in the 13th Region, but they’ve cooled off after suffering their third straight loss of the season in Monday.
A 26-9 run by George Rogers Clark allowed the Cardinals to pull off a 76-48 win over the Jaguars (22-7).
“This game will humble you fast,” Valentine said. “We added this game last week because I thought it would be better than having practice against our JV team. I felt like we needed to have some adversity before we got to the tournament. We have certainly got it the past week. Now we have to find a positive way to respond and move forward.”
Reece Davidson led the Jaguars with 15 points while Corey Cunagin added 11 points.
