PINEVILLE — Tod Windlan’s No. 12 ranked South Laurel Lady Cardinals built a 39-11 first half lead against Pineville on Monday and never looked back during their, 60-27, win.
Maci Messer led South Laurel (18-6) with 14 points while shooting 4-of-4 from the free-throw line, and finishing with two 3-pointers. Skeeter Mabe added 10 points while Aubrey Bundy knocked down all three of her 3-point attempts, and finished with nine points. Shelby Smith and Callie Jones added six points apiece.
“Lady Cards went on the road and got off to a fast start and led 39-11 at half,” Windlan said. “We talked about getting off to a good start and players responded well. Our defense was better from previous games, and Aubrey Bundy was phenomenal defensively and went 3/3 from 3 on offensive end. Thought Shelby Smith played well off the bench and was active on the boards. Go Cards.”
