Big Nights from Burnett, Ferguson Lift Bobcats

HARLAN — Bell County turned in another dominant district performance Friday night, rolling past Harlan 92–56 to improve to 14–3 on the season and a perfect 3–0 in 52nd District play.

The Bobcats controlled the game from start to finish in a tough road environment, using balanced scoring and strong play on both ends of the floor to pull away from the Green Dragons. Harlan fell to 7–11 overall and 1–2 in district competition.

Blake Burnett led Bell County with a game-high 29 points, while Braxton Ferguson followed with 25. Ethan Buell added 18 points as the Bobcats showcased their offensive depth in the lopsided win.

Harlan was led by Izack Saylor with 20 points. Kobe Noe finished with 13 points, and Dylan Cox chipped in 11 in the loss.

Bell County coach Brad Sizemore said he was proud of the way his team handled the road atmosphere and took care of business.

“Our kids came out played really good in a tough environment on the road,” he said. “I told them before the game every time you come to Harlan you have to be ready to go because there kids play hard and won’t quiet. We had several guys that stepped up on both sides of the ball and it was good to get another district win.”
