Yellow Jackets Can’t Recover After Early Knox Central Run

PINEVILLE — Knox Central wasted little time taking control of Sunday’s game against Williamsburg, rolling to a 77–31 win over the Yellow Jackets.

The Panthers jumped out to a commanding 33–9 lead by the end of the first quarter and continued to stretch the margin to 48–17 at halftime. 

Knox Central maintained the pressure after the break, taking a 68–24 advantage into the fourth quarter before closing out the win.

With the win Knox Central improved to 6–3 on the season while Williamsburg dropped to 1–8.

Evan Taylor led the Panthers with 23 points, while Evan Hubbard added 13. Hayden Melton chipped in 10 points.

Williamsburg was led by Lane Jeffries with 16 points while Reece Hatcher finished with seven points in the loss.
