BUCKHORN — Lynn Camp snapped a three-game losing streak in emphatic fashion, rolling past Cordia 66–33 on Tuesday to improve to 4–8 on the season.
“Total team effort today we played well and built a 50-20 lead at halftime and won 66-33 over Cordia,” Lynn Camp coach Marcus McKeehan Got our younger guys some varsity experience in today.
Thought our energy was good from the get go. We have to get ready real quick for a tough Lee Co tomorrow and Corey Flinchum who averages around 30 points.
The Wildcats came out firing, building a 21–10 lead by the end of the first quarter behind seven points from Landen Rose and six from Elijah Mayo.
Lynn Camp blew the game open in the second quarter, as Caleb Woods scored eight points to power the Wildcats to a 50–20 halftime advantage. Eisen Mayo and Elijah Mayo each added five points in the period, while Rose chipped in six and DJ Wren scored four.
The Wildcats continued to control the game after the break, taking a commanding 60–27 lead into the fourth quarter and cruising to the win.
Rose led Lynn Camp with 15 points, while Eisen Mayo and Elijah Mayo finished with 13 points apiece. Woods added eight points, and Conner Mabe scored seven in the victory.
