Yellow Jackets drop 87-47 decision to McCreary Central

WILLIAMSBURG — Brandon Bargo’s squad is still without some of its best players, but it didn’t stop Williamsburg from trying to pull off the upset win against McCreary Central on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets (0-6) came up short though, dropping an 87-47 decision.

Reece Hatcher led Williamsburg with 22 points while Lane Jeffries added 18 points.

“McCreary showed why they are one of the better teams in the 12th tonight,” Bargo said. “They shot the ball really well from three to start the game and we got ourselves in a hole early that we could not dig out of. We were down three of our top eight guys and our lack of depth showed. We will continue to work at this and get it right.”
