White, Fultz Power Clay County Past Lady Dragons

HARLAN — Clay County controlled the game from start to finish Tuesday night, pulling away for a 73-55 victory over Harlan as the Lady Tigers improved to 3-2 on the season.

Clay County set the tone early, building a 25-17 lead by the end of the first quarter and extending the advantage to 41-25 at halftime. The Lady Tigers continued to push the margin in the second half, leading 58-42 entering the fourth quarter.

The Lady Tigers were efficient offensively, shooting 27-of-48 from the field and 5-of-15 from 3-point range.

Maci White led the way with a strong all-around performance, finishing with 19 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Carly Fultz added 18 points and six rebounds, while Lauryn Sizemore chipped in 10 points, five assists, and two steals.

Harlan struggled with turnovers, committing 22 on the night, and shot 21-of-57 from the field, including 6-of-15 from beyond the arc.

Cheyanne Rhymer led the Lady Green Dragons with a double-double, scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Peyshaunce Wynn finished with 13 points, four rebounds, and seven assists, while Addison Campbell added 13 points and three assists. Reagan Goodman rounded out the scoring with 10 points, six rebounds, and five steals.
