Yellow Jackets remain winless with loss to Jellico, Tenn.

WILLIAMSBURG — Brandon Bargo’s Williamsburg Yellow Jackets suffered another loss at home, losing to Jellico, Tenn. 79-52 on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets had hopes of getting their first win of the season, but never got on track against the Blue Devils while falling to 0-5 during the process.

“Unfortunately, we were down two starters tonight,” Williamsburg coach Brandon Bargo said. “We competed hard and gave ourselves a chance but our lack of depth showed up late. It doesn’t get any easier with McCreary coming into town on Thursday who’s one of the better teams in the 12th.”

Jellico led 20-12 at the end of the first quarter and never looking back, leading 37-29 at halftime, and 57-39 entering the fourth quarter.

Reece Hatcher led Williamsburg with 20 points while Lane Jeffries had 13 points, and Chase Grubb finished with 10 points.
