Clay County’s Rogers scores 30 points, drains eight 3s during 73-49 win over Knox Central

MCKEE — Led by Jacob Rogers’ 30-point scoring effort, Clay County cruised past Knox Central with a 73-49 win during Friday’s PRTC Classic.

The Tigers (3-0) held a slim 29-28 lead at halftime but turned up their defensive effort in the second half, limiting the Panthers (1-1) to only four made field goals.

Knox Central had no answer for Rogers the entire game. He finished with eight made 3-pointers while going 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.
