Generals’ Depth, Defense Shine in 48-Point Win Over Lee County

MCKEE — Jackson County continued its strong start to the season Friday, rolling to an 81–33 victory over Lee County during the PRTC Classic.

The Generals controlled the game on both ends of the floor, using balanced scoring and suffocating defense to build a comfortable lead early.

Wyatt Gray paced Jackson County with 17 points, while Tyler Sandlin followed with nine. Braylon Combs and Joona Holm each added eight, with Holm making a major impact on the boards.

Coach Parker Stewart credited his team’s defensive intensity for setting the tone.

“I was impressed with our defense again, that’s what we will hang our hat on,” Stewart said. “Our free throw shooting was poor and needs to be addressed, but overall, I was pleased with the effort and energy the boys gave tonight. We played every single guy tonight and each one contributed in their own way. Joona Holm dominated the glass the whole night.”
