MCKEE — David Teague’s Bell County Lady Bobcats pulled out a 54-51 win over Clay County during Friday’s PRTC Classic.
Kairi Lamb was unstoppable in the paint, scoring 31 points, 20 rebounds, and five blocks while Nevaeh Allen added 18 points.
“Good win to start the season for our basketball team,” Bell County coach David Teague said. “I thought our kids battled on the defensive end of the floor, especially the first half. I thought we got a little tired at times late in the game and settled but overall very pleased with the way our kids played. Quick turnaround as we’re back at it tomorrow afternoon at Madison Central against Henry Clay out of a tough 11th Region.”
Lauryn Sizemore led Clay County with 14 points while Madison Pendlan, Carly Fultz, and Maci White each scored nine points apiece.
